I loved Kurt Cobain before I even heard his voice. I checked out a book from the library called Come As You Are: The Story of Nirvana when I was in seventh grade. I knew of Nirvana, of course, being the wannabe punk rocker I was and all, but I had never actually heard them. I read the book cover to cover in about a day and proudly carried that book around with me for the rest of the year. I think I discovered the Internet in seventh grade too, so I heard their music sooner than later. I loved it more than I thought I would. Dave Grohl made me want too play drums, so I did. Kurt made me want to write, so I did that too. Nirvana is one of the few bands that just never gets old to me. They taught me how to love rock 'n roll. Rest in peace, Kurt.
Heaven must sound lovely.
