Radical Skincare Advanced Peptide Antioxidant Serum Review
To be honest, I've never really been that interested in serums, despite knowing how many benefits there are to them. Since I was a huge fan of Radical Skincare's Instant Revitalizing Mask and Age-Defying Exfoliating Pads, I figured trying out this serum would be worth a shot, too.*
Incorporating the company's signature Trylacel technology and 2 hexapeptides, this serum aims to combat the 16 causes of aging. As a twenty-something just looking for preventative skincare, it's refreshing to find a product that is truly meant for everyone. All skin types. All skin tones. And all ages.
True to form, this one is. I'm such a huge fan of Radical's packaging. I am a firm believer in getting what you pay for, and packaging ties into the luxury of skincare, if you ask me. Not only is it efficient, this bottle is also quite lovely to look at. No need to hide your skincare in the medicine cabinet anymore with these products on the market. Pardon the small nick in the picture above, I dropped it right before photographing it.
Also keeping up with the general theme of simplicity, this serum is easy to use correctly. Simply apply to a clean face and neck before finishing with moisturizer twice daily. Sweep in gentle upwards motions until blended, and you're done!
Since I only went into this looking for some great preventative skincare, I honestly wasn't expecting to see a huge change in my skin's appearance. I was shocked after using this for a few weeks by how much brighter and even my skin looked! The overall tone of my skin has been positively glowing lately, and considering this is the only product I've switched up in my routine lately, I owe Radical many thanks! In addition to my healthy glow, my skin feels incredibly soft, and I also feel like it absorbs products better, especially when it comes to primers.
The Advanced Peptide Antioxidant Serum retails for $190 at Barneys New York and Sephora. While it may be an investment piece, I'd consider repurchasing depending on my needs. If you are highly concerned about aging, I would seriously consider giving this a shot. For younger ladies like myself, I recommend using sparingly to start. I've been using this just once a day (partially to conserve product and partially because I am usually dead tired when it comes to my evening routine), and I feel like it works out just fine. Again, my skin isn't in terrible condition so I think I can get away with cutting uses in half, which will ultimately save me some money.
