The Kids Are Alright
I dread Christmas every year. Don't get me wrong, I love food, I love giving presents, and sure, I also like receiving them. However, I don't believe the world should focus entirely on shopping malls because of a "religious" holiday. My boyfriend is way into it, and so is his family...which means I got presents this year, whether I asked for them or not.
I have to admit, my boyfriend trumped any gift I've ever received. Daria: The Complete Series (and both full-length movies).
If you're not familiar with the MTV series, then you're seriously missing out. Daria is a spin-off of the popular series Beavis and Butthead. If you don't know what that is, then you must have been living under a rock in the mid to late 90's. Daria, the protagonist, is sarcastic and witty, a little rebellious, and a whole lot of fun. I consider her a fashion icon (seriously), with her big black combat boots, black rimmed glasses, and olive green army jacket.
So far I've watched the entire first disc, comfortably nestled up with my new cheetah print Snuggie, and I have a feeling it will not take me long to watch the rest. This show is perfect for any 90's kid who may or may not be a little bit angsty.
